Specialist (m/f/d) for the inspection of sea containers

HCS inspects around 110,000 containers annually in accordance with current customer standards and legal requirements. The task of an inspector is to examine each container inside and out for damage. In addition, an assessment of the general condition of the container is made and documented electronically in HCS's own app.

To strengthen our team in Hamburg, we are looking for a container inspector (m/f/d) for shift work in the operational area to start as soon as possible.

Working Hours: Shift system (early, mid, late shift | 06:00–20:30)
Employment Type: Full-time

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess damage to overseas containers
  • Document damages digitally using models and photographs
  • Qualify containers for various types of cargo
  • Prepare electronic quotations

Your Profile

  • Professional experience in at least one of the following fields:
    • Containers
    • Metal construction / steel construction
    • Logistics
    • Sales
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Customer-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
  • High willingness to learn and participate in further training
  • Good German language skills (spoken and written)
  • Basic English skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors on a permanent basis – regardless of weather conditions
  • Physical fitness
  • Willingness to work in a shift system
